Advance signature research areas
Focus investment on thematic areas where the Andrew Young
School can lead nationally and globally.
OBJECTIVES
2.3.1. Prioritize and invest in the following areas:
• Data, arti昀椀cial intelligence, and analytics for public policy
• Health, health systems, and well-being
• Social and public services
• Sustainability and resilience of social, technical, and physical systems
• Community engagement and social change
• Experimental and behavioral policy research
2.3.2. Align internal research infrastructure and funding mechanisms with
these research areas through a “Research Development Initiative” that
provides seed funding to activate interdisciplinary teams and faculty in
these areas.
2.3.3. Establish theme-aligned research networks composed of external
stakeholders and policy partners.
