Education has long been a cornerstone of progress. It is the means by which we
empower individuals, strengthen communities, and shape a more just and prosperous
future. The Andrew Young School of Policy Studies at Georgia State University
continues to embody this belief with focus and determination. Leading with Purpose:
The Strategic Plan for the Andrew Young School of Policy Studies, 2025-2033 re昀氀ects not
only a vision for academic excellence but also a clear and intentional commitment to
preparing the next generation of public leaders. In an era marked by rapid change,
this plan is both a guide and a promise, one that honors our mission while looking
con昀椀dently toward the future.
At the heart of the Andrew Young School are values that have always guided my
own journey: equity, collaboration, service, and the pursuit of real-world impact.
These values inform everything we do, from teaching, research, and our community
partnerships to the development of career-ready graduates who are prepared to
meet the challenges of a complex world. A meaningful education must go beyond the
classroom. It must prepare students not only to succeed in their professions but to

Atlanta offers a unique opportunity to lead. This city is rich in history, energized
by diversity, and globally connected through commerce, culture, and innovation.
